FATTORIA LA VIALLA - toscana

In the 1970s, the Lo Francos decided to abandon their lucrative family business in the textile industry in order to dedicate themselves fully to the preservation of the Tuscan countryside.

The goal was that of reviving an old farmstead, which together with its neighbouring lands, had been deserted and left in a state of disarray. To them, it was a shame to see these parcels of Tuscany’s culture and history being slowly forgotten.

Fast forwarding forty-years later, today Fattoria La Vialla counts over 1,400 hectares of land sprawled across central Tuscany. Together with the time and dedication given, Fattoria La Vialla has been able to uncover the unique terroir of this region. The estate practices biodynamic viticulture and its wines are certified organic. However, Fattoria La Vialla goes far beyond organic certification. It sets the benchmark for wineries when it comes to environmental practices 100% carbon neutral. No pesticides or fertilizers are ever used in the vineyard. Sulphite levels are always kept low and wines are crafted with the least intervention possible.

The estate is entirely family run by the three Lo Franco brothers: Bandino, Antonio and Gianni. Antonio currently leads the team of Viallini.

Fattoria La Vialla’s wines encapsulate everything there is to love about Tuscany. History, refinement and incomparable Tuscan charm.

Staying true to its name, Fattoria La Vialla produces far more than just wine. It produces what we believe to be Tuscany’s finest olive oil and a selection of organic pastas, sauces and other preserves which are a true gastronomic delight.

We could not be more happy with the fact that we are the exclusive importers of this extraordinary project in Quebec.
